‘There is no day so dull or dismal that it is not an occasion for rejoicing. Eat, drink, laugh and be Irish’ (Old Irish wisdom – Anon).
Why not rejoice in the Tulips this weekend, with fun, music, dancing and Leprechauns! It is time to get out and enjoy spring while the tulips bloom!
As you sit back and enjoy a Guinness or Kilkenny, we have top musical entertainment on two different stages from Saoirse and Claran Doyle and Declan Simpson. There will be Irish Pipers roving the fields all 3 days and enjoy Irish dancing performances from The Bilton Irish Dancing School at 11am, 1:30pm & 3pm on Saturday & Sunday.
There is also a touch of Dutch with Our Clog Dancing Workshop at Noon and 2pm, see how it is done and give it a whirl. Plus our Historic Cheese Market performance where you see amazing spectacle of how Dutch cheeses were bought and sold.
You can discover more than a million spring flowering bulbs on show, including over half a million tulips. As you stroll through the historic gardens you can enjoy the sculpture exhibit, pass through pockets of the Netherlands, indulge in traditional Dutch foods and other treats. See beautiful garden displays, visit our fairy garden (The Tulip Fairy tells her tales at 11:15, 12:15, 2:30 and 3:30), pick a bunch of tulips, ride on the Tulip Tractor around the colourful fields and so much more, see our ‘everyday’ page for a full list.
A ‘craic’ of a weekend!
